As EY Global Real Estate, Hospitality & Construction Leader, Mark coordinates the efforts of 15,000 professionals around the world who serve more than 6,000 clients.
Mark has three decades of real estate industry experience and previously led Real Estate, Hospitality & Construction in the US Central region and EY Global Real Estate Private Equity. His prior roles include lead audit partner for real estate funds, Americas Transaction Real Estate Practice Leader, and Asia Real Estate Practice Managing Partner.
Mark is a licensed CPA in NY and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has co-authored The Guide to Distress Debt and Turnaround Investing and our annual report, Global market outlook: trends in real estate private equity. He frequently speaks at key industry events. Mark received his BA in Economics and Accounting from Claremont McKenna College.
Frank is Co-Managing Partner, Head of Investor Relations and a Member of DFI’s Investment Committee. Prior to co-founding DFI in 2016, he spent seven years as Co-Founding and Senior Managing Partner of BLG Capital, Turkey’s largest private equity real estate investment and development firm. He was previously Partner of Access Turkey Capital Group, a Turkish middle market corporate private equity platform for two years.
Prior to that he worked for eight years in New York City for a family office and a middle market private equity firm Newtek Business Services, focusing on investments in business and financial services companies. Frank holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University and Bachelor of Arts from George Washington University.
As Head of Connected Experiences at Gensler, Lee works with global teams of strategists, technologists, designers, and developers for the world’s largest architecture firm. Previously, he built a successful innovation lab for Chaotic Moon (now Fjord Austin, acquired by Accenture) and led design research, detail design, and product development for global innovation firm, frog Design. A trendspotter of emerging markets and technologies, Lee has led product development on Oculus, Google Glass, Leap Motion, and other emerging platforms, driven by a desire to design for tomorrow’s users. He has also developed applications and installations for some of the world’s biggest brands, including AT&T, Beats by Dre, Bose, Caesars Palace, DARPA, Fox, IBM, Microsoft, Mozilla, National Geographic Channel, Nike, Spotify, Toyota, and Twitter. At Gensler, he is focused on the next wave of design—the transformation of digital and physical
integrations—and breaking traditional norms and expectations about how digital is integrated into
our daily lives.
David is Managing Director and Global Head of Logistic Acquisition at Thor Equities. Previously David was a European director with The Blackstone Group’s European logistic platform, Logicor. He was involved in over €3bn of transactions in over 10 countries across Europe and was responsible for the valuations of the €13bn platform sold to China Investment Corporation (CIC). David received an Executive MBA from the University of Cambridge, where he and peers formed Lookfit, an avatar/augmented reality based startup, focusing on solving the issue of reverse logistics.
Rachel has 12 years’ experience at Grosvenor in a range of investment and strategic roles. She is currently Head of New Investment, setting up joint venture partnerships with developers across the UK. She originates and negotiates opportunities across all sectors which bring both commercial and social benefit.
Grosvenor is a privately-owned investor, developer, landlord, asset manager and public sector partner, active in more than 60 cities around the world. It has a deep understanding of cities and believes in learning from the past to respond to the challenges of the future.
In her previous role as Head of Strategy, Rachel created Grosvenor’s 20-year vision for the future of Mayfair and Belgravia, combining long-term placemaking with sustainable commercial growth. She uses this experience to identify investments which will benefit from future demographic and technological change.
Rachel is a Chartered Surveyor and has degrees from Cambridge and Reading Universities.
Stuart is an architect and designer with extensive industry knowledge of introducing digital fabrication to construction in both research and industry settings and was instrumental in the ground-breaking Minibuilders project. Stuart is also a visiting lecturer at UCL London for the master program. Currently the CEO and Co-Founder of Scaled Robotics.
As COO and Speaker of the Management Board of BuildingMinds, Jens Müller oversees daily operations of the company and the work of senior executives. Before joining BuildingMinds, Jens Müller was Vice President of Corporate Development & Innovation at the IoT startup relayr and Senior Manager in several areas at Cisco.
Felicity Emmett heads up the UK market for Infraspeak, the IoT Facilities Management and Maintenance software that users love to use. The company was founded in 2015 in Porto, and has expanded across the world in the past four years, now helping over 32,000 buildings run more simply and efficiently. With a focus on smart and simple solutions, Infraspeak helps businesses begin the journey to becoming Smart in practical, tangible ways.
Felicity has a background in business and commercial strategy, with a keen interest in the ripple effect of technology on industries. She is therefore particularly focused on how Infraspeak can positively impact the overall commerciality of its customers as well as ever-evolving Infraspeak’s approach to best align with the UK market’s needs.
Faisal Butt is a leading UK based entrepreneur and Venture Capital investor. Faisal founded Pi Labs in
2015, after leading, as an individual investor, the first round of investments in proptech start-ups
Hubble and Trussle. He and his team at Pi Labs have built a portfolio of 46 Proptech companies
across the UK and Europe, making the company one of the most active investors in proptech start-
ups globally. Faisal is also the founder of Spire Ventures, a personal investment vehicle with a focus
on investment in traditional property companies.
Felicite Moorman is an award-winning technology entrepreneur and attorney with over twenty-five years of experience founding and building companies. She has earned an international reputation as a go-to Internet of Things industry expert, developing pioneering strategic partnerships and unprecedented technology strategies and initiatives in IoT. As an international speaker and columnist, she has been featured in dozens of mass media outlets and publications.
Currently, Moorman is the CEO and CoFounder of STRATIS IoT, which is a smart apartment and intelligent buildings IoT platform for Multifamily and Student Housing. Moorman has led the company to recognition by Inc. 5000’s Fastest Growing Companies in America and Entrepreneur 360’s Best Entrepreneurial Companies in America.The company has installed its smart apartment software in 325,000 units across the U.S. and 20,000 internationally. Previously she launched the GE Consumer and Home Electronics Emerging Technologies Division. Early in her career, Moorman led a team that became the most sought-after marketing and management partnership in Baltimore real estate.
Lesley joined Seaforth Land, as chief investment officer in September 2019 to grow the company’s highly specialised fiduciary operating platform. She has worked on real estate transactions across Europe and North America, and has a wealth of financing experience across a diverse range of sectors including office, retail, residential and alternatives.
Prior to Seaforth Land, she spent 14 years at Delancey as director of Banking and Treasury and as a member of the company’s steering committee. Lesley had oversight of all third-party financing and banking relationships.
James is a Partner at Europa Capital, and is responsible for acquisitions and asset management of Offices and Industrial sectors in the UK and Ireland and all acquisitions in the Benelux. James is also responsible for core-plus investments in the UK.
Before joining in 2008, James worked at CBRE and was responsible for pan European investments, having started his career at the firm in 2001, where he originally specialised in Central London office investment and leasing activities.
James is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and has also qualified for a livery position in one of the top City of London guilds. James received an MA in Property Valuation and Law from CAS Business School, City University of London and has a BA in Arabic from the University of Exeter.
Simon Bayliss is managing partner at HTA Design, the UK’s leading housing architecture practice, and a global leader in modular design and construction. HTA Design drives continual innovation to deliver better performing, measurably more sustainable homes and buildings, where people choose to live.
Simon has played a key role in the growth of the practice’s reputation both as designers of great places, and as a great place to work, having been awarded Employer of the Year at the 2018 AJ100 Awards. He is a member of the RIBA and is an active member of its Housing Group, is an Academician of the Academy of Urbanism, and a regular contributor to both trade and national press on housing matters and construction innovation.
Simon is the lead architect for 101 George Street, an ambitious residential development in Croydon set to be the world’s tallest modular scheme, constructed by Tide and Vision Modular.
Thomas is a Project Executive in the Google Real Estate team based in London. He is overseeing multiple Real Estate projects in 6 different countries across Europe. Thomas studied architecture in Germany and Madrid and is a certified project manager. Before he joined Google in February 2019, he worked in the Real Estate and Aviation Infrastructure sector with clients like Siemens, Heathrow or Zurich.
Robert formed Trilogy Real Estate LLP as a UK-focused investment and
development management business in 2015. His principal responsibilities include the creation and management of Trilogy’s projects.
Robert has a degree in Architecture from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL and a qualification in Chartered Surveying (MRICS), as well as a diploma in Finance from the Securities Institute.
Zsolt Kohalmi is Global Head of Real Estate and CO-CEO of Pictet Alternative Advisors. Mr. Kohalmi brings over two decades of pan-European investment experience, and has invested in excess of $20 billion into all real estate asset classes in more than 20 European countries throughout several investment cycles.
Previously he was Managing Director and Head of European Acquisitions at Starwood Capital Group, one of the top 3 firms in global private equity real estate. At Starwood, he was instrumental in sourcing and executing a number of successful investments for Starwood Capital’s commercial, hospitality and debt platforms. Starwood was twice (2013, 2015) voted The European Private Equity Real Estate Firm of the year by its peers (PERE magazine) during his tenure.
Prior to joining Starwood Capital in 2013, Mr. Kohalmi was Chief Investment Officer at Meyer Bergman for 8 years, a European real estate investment firm that he co-founded. Before that he was a Director at GE Capital, where he acquired financial platforms as well as loan portfolios across Europe. Mr. Kohalmi previously worked in investment banking with ABN AMRO Hoare Govett.
Mr. Kohalmi, who is fluent in nine languages, holds an M.S. degree in economics from the University of Budapest and an MBA from INSEAD.
Sally joined British Land in February 2010 as Head of Investor Relations and took responsibility for Strategy alongside Investor Relations in January 2015. In May 2016, she was appointed Head of Strategy and Investments.
Subsequently, she has expanded her role to include data and insights and the Group’s Smart technology initiatives. She joined the Executive Committee in 2015.
Before joining British Land Sally worked at Cadbury Schweppes where she held a variety of roles over ten years including Director of Investor Relations, Director of Communications and Finance Director Group Sales and Marketing. Prior to that she worked in the City.
Zak Schwarzman is a Partner with MetaProp, where he leads the firm's venture capital investment activities.

Zak’s investment experience spans seed, multi-stage and corporate venture capital and he is an active member of New York’s startup community. Prior to joining MetaProp, Zak was a Principal at Gotham Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital firm and an affiliate of the Draper Venture Network, where he covered PropTech, FinTech, the API Economy and EdTech, amongst other sectors. Zak’s previous venture capital background includes experience with Canaan Partners,
AOL Ventures and LearnCapital.
Zak is a Kauffman Fellow and holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a B.A. in Political Economy and Business from Tulane University.
Dave Eisenberg is the Founder of Zigg Capital, a new $100m+ venture capital fund focused on technology investments in the real estate and construction industries. Dave has been investing in the category since 2010 and his portfolio includes early investments in companies such as Matterport, Procore, Building Connected, VTS and Juniper Square. Prior to founding Zigg, Dave was the Global
SVP of Technology for CBRE.
He came to CBRE via the acquisition of Floored, a technology company he founded. Earlier in his career he was a founding team member of two other technology businesses, TellApart (acquired by Twitter for $500m+) & Bonobos (acquired by Walmart for $300m+). Dave began his career at Bain in NYC and graduated from Harvard with a degree in Psychology. He resides in Manhattan with his wife and two daughters.
Karen Hollinger is Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives and is responsible for leading large strategic corporate initiatives and is point on innovation initiatives in development, construction and property operations. Prior to this position, Ms. Hollinger has led several functions and departments at AvalonBay, most recently as the VP of Information Technology. Prior to this position, Ms. Hollinger was VP, National Operations with responsibility for establishing and managing the Customer Care Center in Virginia Beach, VA, a large industry-leading shared services center.
Prior to AvalonBay, Ms. Hollinger was a Senior Manager at KPMG, with a partnership focused on accounting systems and IT strategy with clients in the US and in developing countries and started and led KPMG’s IT consulting practice in Beijing, China.. As part of her involvement in real estate, she serves as the Chair for NMHC's Innovation Committee and has spoken at many conferences on matters related to technology in the US and abroad. Ms. Hollinger received a degree in Finance from William & Mary.
Founding SPPARC Architecture in 2007, Trevor Morriss has 30 years UK experience completing all of his professional studies and qualifications on a part time basis whilst being in practice since 1988 and having his first building constructed in Shad Thames at the age of 17. Trevor Morriss has always taken an unconventional approach to his architectural career which has given him a unique understanding of the property industry and experience beyond his years.
Trevor is a renowned figure in the industry and has lectured at the RIBA, he has a recognised uncompromising passion for creating highly resolved innovative architecture sensitive in its context yet testing the boundaries of each brief to exceed the clients’ expectations.
In 1995 he was appointed senior architect leading an architectural team for the global real estate advisors Jones Lang LaSalle, whilst the design juices where being quenched through part time study of architecture specializing in urbanism at the University of Greenwich. JLL provided an unparalleled insight into the commercial drivers of a project which is rarely seen by the architectural profession. This insight amalgamated with a creative talent for conceptual innovation is at the heart of the principles of

Jurrian founded Finch Buildings in 2014. As an architect Jurrian wanted to create buildings that would help fight climate change, instead of contributing to the climate crisis. When he came across CLT (cross laminated timber) he created a modular construction system to be able to design and create permanent buildings that buffer CO2 instead of emitting. Buildings could be a solution insteadof a problem.
David Ebbrell is the Chief Executive Officer for M7 Real Estate. He is responsible for sourcing new properties across Europe.
Prior to co-founding M7 in 2009, David was a Fund Director at GPT Halverton where he was responsible for Funds with a combined value of €600m. These included BIP (which invested in German and Dutch multi-let industrial property) and DAF (which invested in Dutch multi-let industrial office properties). As Fund Director, David had responsibility for acquisitions, portfolio performance, client reporting and asset management strategy. He was also responsible for many of the acquisitions made by the Halverton Babock Industrial fund; his primary responsibility being the German and French
acquisitions. Whilst at GPT Halverton David was involved with acquisitions with a combined purchase price of c.€900 million.
Before that, David worked for Teesland iOG (now Valad) and undertook UK acquisitions for the Industrial Trust and the Industrial Investment Partnership.
David is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
David trained as a surveyor at Healey & Baker and has a degree in Estate Surveying.
Oli is the CEO and co-founder of Coyote Software. He has played a fundamental role in scoping and developing Coyote since 2009, and before Coyote, was a founding partner and CTO of M7 Real Estate.
Oli has been at the forefront of commercial property technology for the last 12 years – even before the term “PropTech” was coined.
Oli’s belief in collaboration has led to partnerships with leading PropTech businesses, and provides the basis for an ecosystem that enables property professionals to connect their commercial property data.
Lloyd Lee serves at the Managing Partner of Yoo Capital Management withoverall responsibility for the firm’s investment strategy as well as for originating and negotiating its major transactions. He also chairs the firm’s Investment Committee.
Lloyd brings over 23 years’ experience in real estate private equity and principal investing and has been involved in £9.5 billion of real estate acquisitions, public and private corporate opportunities, special situations and asset management turnarounds across the UK, EU, US and emerging markets in Turkey, India and Latin America.
Robert Courteau is Chief Executive Officer of Altus Group (TSX: AIF), a leading provider of software, data solutions and independent advisory services to the global commercial real estate industry. An accomplished senior executive, Robert has extensive experience in leading new business initiatives and achieving growth objectives with some of the world’s foremost companies.
Robert was a corporate executive with SAP AG, a global market leader in enterprise application software, including roles as the President, North America and Global Chief Operating Officer. He has been an active board member of numerous North American not-for-profit organizations and has served on boards of several publicly-traded companies.
Robert has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University where he was also the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate. In recognition of his commitment to education and endorsement of international standards and regulation, Robert was awarded an Honorary Fellowship with RICS (FRICS) in 2014.
